Slate is born an outcast among the large meerkat family called the Zeros, being the daughter of a subordinate female. Fiery is dedicated and determined, while Slate is bold and ambitious. The only thing that they have in common is a spikey black pelt marking on their flanks.

Fractured by the missing member of their family they search for solace in the dangerous Outlands only to be stalked by enemies far deadlier than anything they have ever faced before.

Sand was enjoying his puphood among the Alphas family of meerkats until an odd meer named Ripple started appearing to him in his dreams, telling him that he’s a ‘Dreamwalker’, and that soon his abilities will be tested.
